As the light flickered in through the window, Elijah groaned and yanked the blanket over his head, hoping to fall back asleep, but he had no such luck since the birds chose that moment to start singing, it was enough to make him get up. Walking down the stairs, Eli rolled his eyes when he saw no one else was up yet, and that he had no one to talk to. Heading for the door, he took relief in the still cool morning, the pain as he shifted was quick and sharp but was over as soon as his paws hit the ground. Slowly, Elijah took off for his jog, which gave him the chance to survey the territory. Alone..... truly alone, the feeling hung around Elijah like dark, cold fog as he ran. The night colored wolf stretched his legs out, widening his stride as he gracefully leaped over the fallen trees deep in the forest. His dark pelt blending easily into the trees, sun being blocked out by their canopies. He didn't know where he was going, but it didn't bother him, running made him seem free, like there wasn't anything to worry about.
